1983 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4, I bought
this truck for $200 as a project vehicle. It was in pretty rough
shape, the paint sucked, the tires were shot, and best of all, the
318 under the hood was blown up. I had a 91 W250 with a Cummins
under the hood and a life threatening injury, so I decided to merge
the two together, making a *very* rare Dodge RamCharger diesel. The
original powertrain used a 318, 727TF, and a 208. The new powertrain
used a 359 Cummins turbodiesel, a Getrag G360 5 speed manual, and an
NP205. The whole thing looks stock and you would be amazed at the
looks and dumb questions I get from guys driving Blazers or Broncos
or some other form of mental retardation.
